Claude Cowork launches on Web and Mobile with background task support

Anthropic expanded Claude Cowork to Web and mobile on July 7, allowing Max subscribers to sync work sessions across devices. Cowork supports scheduled background tasks that execute even when the user is offline. Anthropic revealed that over 90% of Cowork usage is unrelated to software development, spanning project management and cross-app office work. Cowork also gained Microsoft 365 write capabilities, enabling direct email and calendar management.
