Meta released Muse Image, a text-to-image model, in July and immediately integrated it into Instagram and WhatsApp, allowing users to generate and edit images directly within the social apps. This is Alexander Wang's first major product launch since taking over Meta AI. Instagram defaults public accounts to opt-out, meaning users must actively disable the feature to prevent others from generating AI images based on their content. Meta also released Muse Spark 1.1.
