Volcano Engine Cuts Doubao 1.6 API Prices

At the 2026 Force Power Conference, Volcano Engine launched Doubao 1.6. The new model pioneers tiered pricing by input length. In the most-used 0–32K range, input is ¥0.8/million tokens and output is ¥8/million tokens, representing a 63% cost reduction compared to Doubao 1.5. For 32K–128K, input is ¥1.2/million tokens and output ¥16/million tokens; for 128K–256K, input is ¥2.4/million tokens and output ¥24/million tokens. Doubao 1.6 also natively supports deep reasoning and multimodal capabilities at no additional premium for enterprises.
